Come walk with us through the heart of Cowpens as we honor the life and legacy of Joyce Stauffer while raising awareness and supporting the important work of the Brain Aneurysm Foundation.
Our 2-mile, family-friendly community walk will begin at Veterans Park and wind through Cowpens before finishing at Cowpens Coffee & Creamery, where we'll come together for JoyceFest!
JOYCEFEST
Following the Miles for Minds Walk and Dice Run, the community is invited to join us at Cowpens Coffee & Creamery for JoyceFest—an afternoon of live music, local vendors, family-friendly activities, food, and fellowship.
JoyceFest is a celebration of the life of Joyce Stauffer, whose love for family, friends, community, and bringing people together continues to inspire this event. While the day honors Joyce, it is also an opportunity for our entire community to come together, celebrate the people we love, support a meaningful cause, and raise awareness for brain aneurysms.
Whether you participate in the walk, ride in the Dice Run, shop with local vendors, enjoy the music, bring the kids, or simply stop by to spend the afternoon with us, there's a place for you at JoyceFest.

joyce's story
On October 25, 2025, our family lost Joyce Stauffer to a brain aneurysm. Joyce believed deeply in community and bringing people together. Miles for Minds was created to carry that vision forward. Each year, our community will gather to remember Joyce, raise awareness about brain aneurysms, and support research that could help save lives.

The Brain Aneurysm Foundation was established in 1994 by a renowned Boston neurosurgeon and neurosurgical nurse practitioner who, through their practice, identified numerous treatment gaps and access to resources amongst both their patients and the broader medical community. Over the ensuing 30 years, the nonprofit Brain Aneurysm Foundation has grown to become the globally recognized leader in brain aneurysm awareness, education, support, advocacy, and research funding.
